iPhone vs. HD Radio

Okay, I’m not the first to come up with this observation, but it’s striking nonetheless:

Right out of the gate Apple sold about 500,000 iPhones in its first weekend of release. Meaning: Apple sold more iPhones in three days than the entire HD radio industry has sold in three years.

And at twice the price, to boot….

Now back to work.

That’s because anything that apple slaps with an “i” sells reguardless of practicality.

Also the price of it dropped significantly without an upgrade…and you have a detached non phone version for about $300 so that’s nearly 50% off. If they sold a million and they are giving $100 back that means 100 million is being paid back….ouch.
